These bolts slide into the mounting rail and hang below the crossbars. The mounting plate slides up the bolts and is secured with lock nuts or hand nuts, clamping the tent firmly to the crossbars. Our tents include 2" bolts. Your rack may require longer or shorter bolts, depending on the thickness of your cross bars.
